Vaastu & the color Red!!!!!!

Colors pacify our mind and stimulating our energy levels. Our mood, health & happiness are all affected by the colors at our Homes. So, What is the significance of color Red..Of course it is associated with power, determination, passion, desire and love.

The other side of this color also signifies blood, war & danger. In Eastern Chinese culture, red is the color for good luck. It’s also the traditional color for weddings. We do use this color to attract attention of others. Perhaps have lot of red in our wardrobes or use them at home for our curtains and bed sheets. It does enliven the interiors and creates excitement in our lives.

However, red should not be used in the bedroom, as it is too energizing. When used in bedroom, it can be overpowering and stressful. It has been scientifically proved that being surrounded by too much of the color red tends to make us become irritated, agitated and ultimately angry and we become cautious, manipulative and fearful.

Vaastu & Bells !!!!

What is really significant about bells? Bells at churches, temples & Buddhist Monasteries. Feng Shui too recommends bells hung on the Main door. The Wind chimes too have strings/bells and are used in variety of ways. The metal bells in copper and brass have been a tradition with their origin and have adorned the necks of cattle, camel & sheep since ages. Bells are even rung while celebrating Independence days of few countries, Xmas Celebrations and used by Ships too for signalling.

The sound produced by ringing the bells is really charismatic. We might shut our ears to any loud noise but are carried away with the sounds produced by the bell. No matter how loud it is; it doesn't seem to bother us. It is known to keep negative energies at bay. Each bell would produce a sound that is distinct and science has proven that such a sound unites our left and right brain. Ringing the bell in the North Direction at Home/Sacred place/Brahmasthaal (Centre of Home) can work wonders.

Doesn't the expression "Wedding Bells" ring any bells!!!!!!

Does your Kitchen & Toilet have this in common......

Common wall for the Toilets and kitchen have become a common practice in the apartments these days. Lest the Builders would realize its ill effect.  Water is known for its properties to dissolve impurities. We bathe and cleanse in toilets and even though tend to keep the region dry, some water does seep through and gets soaked by the walls too.

The kitchen sharing such a wall is prone to the negative Vastu in the surrounding. Kitchen is considered a pious zone in the house. We cook our meals there and as they say “We are what we eat”. If we were to even consider the Five Elements in Vastu, Kitchen represents Fire and the Toilets, Water. Water and Fire are never compatible with each other. This is also the reason for having the kitchen sink not too close to the Cooking Gas/Cooking Inductions

Vaastu for Kitchens (I)

Kitchen being a woman's arena in the house should never be neglected. The health of female natives of the house correlates to it's Vaastu. The positive energy in the kitchen is essential for the well being of the family too.

The science of Vaastu suggests the color of slabs in the kitchen as black. The color black absorbs the  heat. Black has a tendency to absorb all wavelengths of light and reflects none. Kitchen is the only area of house where maximum heat is generated as a result of cooking.
The black granite/marble kitchen slabs serve best for this purpose.Excess heat if not absorbed can affect us and increase negative Vaastu in surrounding
